Resilience MythBusters: What Actually Works

Description

Does your resilience program include practices that have outlived their usefulness — exercises that feel engaging but don't stress-test real conditions, documentation that satisfies auditors but confuses responders, and metrics that measure effort rather than capability? Many of these habits persist not because they work, but because no one has seriously questioned them.

This session challenges that pattern. You’ll participate in live audience polling, structured peer debate, and facilitated discussion to examine which program activities genuinely build recoverability and which create the illusion of preparedness. You'll learn to distinguish compliance-required activities from those that demonstrably improve outcomes when disruption occurs and leave with a clear framework for evaluating your current program, cutting what doesn't deliver, and strengthening what does.
