Lisa Coleman started her career at Savannah River Site (SRS) working for Westinghouse Savannah River Company as a Software Engineer. In this position she developed software solutions for both scientific and business functions across the site. She would go on to become a Computer Consultant with eStrong Solutions teaching computer concepts at Augusta Technical College and developing Continuity of Operation Plans & Emergency Response Plans for local municipalities. Upon returning to SRS, Lisa worked as a Computer Support Analyst before becoming a Risk Specialist for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. As a risk professional, Coleman conducted risk reviews and assessments for program portfolios, maintained the company’s risk register, as well as acted as the group’s technical advisor. She would eventually restructure the risk program, encouraging stakeholders to embrace a franchise model that allowed risk owners to be more engaged in monitoring and managing their risks. Additionally, Lisa created business relationships with Internal Auditing, Quality Assurance, Safeguards & Security, Emergency Management, Environment Management and Cyber Security to better summarize and capitalize on information needed to deliver reports to the Department of Energy. Coleman uses her background and exposure to multiple disciplines to strategically expand and grow the risk program. She is passionate about providing continuous improvement to the site risk program bringing professionalism and dedication to her job.
