Developing and Using Risk Criteria: The Great Neglected Topic in ERM
Thursday, February 16, 2023 @ 11am ET

Rob Quail
Principal and Owner, Robert Quail Consulting

Both the ISO and COSO standards for risk management give only passing reference to risk criteria. However, the development and use of criteria for assessing risk is arguably the most important foundational tool-building exercise for any risk management group. Criteria are the “glue” that connect the overall risk appetite of an organization to the individual judgements on tolerability of individual risks.

In this session, noted ERM expert Rob Quail will explore approaches for co-development and broad application of risk criteria in ways that enhance decision making and business performance.
